In addition, I have included two corrected copies of previous record requests for the record. The 02 APR 2023 request corrects the requested date range of the requested Facebook Block List update to April 2023 to be consistent with the month it was initially sent to Jasper County, IA. The other request corrects language in the original request directed at your office the day I was accused of violating Iowa Code Section 708.11 (Stalking), which reflected my frustration and not the man that I now know that you are. Per your guidance, I will send all future Jasper County, IA, record requests to the county attorney’s office. The recent delay in sending these record requests to Jasper County, IA, has been due to a decline in my health while dealing with repeated, consistent, unethical, and malicious attacks from those I asked for help or their contracted attorneys.
I am at the Des Moines VA Hospital and have been placed in 6 weeks of residential treatment. I have reached the point where I don’t see a path forward and don’t feel like I belong anywhere. At the same time, I feel that I served a country that has determined that I am not good enough to be heard. Possibly because my “wild hair” and “pajamas” manifest the pain and symptoms I feel inside. Pain and mental health symptoms that no one criminalized during the twenty years that I served them. At the same time, the evidence indicates those I have asked for help were more concerned with protecting their careers than performing their elected and appointed duties. The way some people within the country that I served have treated me and attacked me. At the same time, I have attempted to restore the rights of my children and myself, while losing my children has left me feeling internally devastated, destroyed, and betrayed. However, as I never give up, I also have a responsibility and understanding when a warship needs to be put in dry dock and repaired so that it may complete its mission.
John, you are the only person I trust and believe in. You were the only person there for me when everyone else was throwing me away. With respect to your office and your position and regarding the information I now have indicating Jasper County, IA, Attorney Nicholson handles all county record request responses, this will be my last email regarding record requests. Please confirm I have the records you intended and that it is the complete response you provided, and I will mark that request as complete.
May God continue to bless you, John, so you may continue being a light for the innocent lost in darkness who need help. I respectfully submit that I believe what separates me from a citizen that communicates aggressive language with zero supporting evidence is that, like you, I have been trained in the execution of proper etiquette and procedure while communicating and executing actions within a sacred chamber while wearing a uniform. At the same time, I respectfully submit no voice, no matter how much lacking in training or maturity, should be criminalized while expressing a belief or point of view. I respectfully submit that the evidence showing this government body strategically executed actions meant to conceal public records I requested for over a year possibly meets the requirements of the definition of certain political adjectives that have been communicated and criminalized within the City of Newton, IA council chambers. I believe as leaders, the way we raise the next generation is not by criminalizing a progressive, aggressive, or voice lacking maturity, but by leading by example while providing a template of proper form regarding communicating public sentiments and grievances to those who the people have elected to have authority to lead their constituents.
